Aims & Objectives
The main aims and objectives of the International Fenestration Forum (IFF) are as under:
  1. The Forum pursues, exclusively and directly, aims and objectives for the benefit of the public, specifically through scientific research and publication on the design, manufacture and testing of windows, glazed facades and doors as well as light enclosing walls including glazing and accessories, with particular emphasis on energy conservation.

  2. For the benefit of the end user the Forum will act as a platform to Architects, Engineers, Companies, Manufacturers or any such organization involved in the area of Façade and Fenestration for the purpose of sharing information and for generation of awareness.

  3. The IFF will undertake various research programs for the knowledge up gradation and will make the results of its research available to the Public. Anyone may make use of the published research findings. The existence of Forum is not only for the benefit of its members but also for the benefit of Government bodies, Associations, Companies, and private bodies or for the Individuals. The IFF will spread information amongst the members of the society within the scope of the knowledge gathered by it.

  4. IFF will encourage the scientific research by sponsoring, eligible candidates from the Industry, Technical institutes, College etc., subject to its permissible capacities. Selection rights / criteria shall be determined by the Governing Body / Advisory Committee / Technical Committee.

  5. IFF will put special emphasis on the following :
    • Advocating the science of judicious use and selection of Fenestration in buildings.
    • Promote use of sustainable & recycled materials for Environmental protection.
    • Grow awareness of benefitsof daylighting to enhance energy efficiency and healthy living.
    • Promote new products & techniques of fenestration design & selection.
    • Human Safety and Security
    • Cost effectiveness
    • Harnessing of Green Energy
    • Integration of fenestration and solar power
    • Use of computer simulation tools for optimum fenestration design.

  6. All Profits earned by the Forum shall be used for :
    • The betterment / up gradation of the Public awareness in the related field as specified above.
    • For the purchase / donation of scientific equipment to technical institutions.
    • For the Establishment of a technical training academy/ institution
    • For training of the skilled manpower for adaptation of good /fair installation techniques, as outsourcing of such installers is inevitable. Free training can be imparted to deserving candidates.

  7. The Forum will not favor any individual / corporate identity etc. for any kind of unethical short term business benefit, and any member or associate will have a right to launch a written complaint for such discrepancy and the Forum constituted by the Governing Body, the Advisory Committee and the Technical Committee shall be bound to give a written explanation/justification with in a specified period as per the founder members guidance.

  8. The IFF will observe the principles of neutrality and objectivity.
